About this speaker

Adri Gutierrez is in her second year at Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC), pursuing her associate in science. As a first-generation Mexican American, Adri Gutierrez has a fantastic work ethic and is involved in many student organizations at NTCC. She is the Social Work Club president and is an honor student, selected among the most competitive and high-achieving students in Northeast Texas. She aims to bring awareness to the lived experience of first-generation Mexican Americans and their cultural experience, the expectations of the traditional Mexican culture, and the disparities in higher education. Adri grew up in Oklahoma but has lived in Texas for eight years. She is a 2022 high school graduate from Pittsburg High School with the Victoria Matiz honor. Adri enjoys spending her free time with her family and cheering on her favorite team in the Liga.
