Alejandra Lopez Nestor, a first-gen student from rural Oregon and daughter of Guatemalan and Mexican immigrants, aims to major in politics with a minor in Latinx studies. Driven by personal experiences, she seeks political change and aims to create a networking space for First Gen students.

Grace Knight, a first-gen student, studies Psychology and French. Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, raised in the Midwest, she is passionate about language learning, mental health in the immigration community. She enjoys horse riding and reading French novels in her free time.

Graphic Design and Marketing Co-lead: Babson College '26

Jolie Wyatt, a first-gen student studying Entrepreneurship, focuses on Retail Supply Chain. As CEO of JLWCosmetics, she reshapes beauty standards, addressing affordability. She also leads If The Shoe Fits, providing custom-fitted footwear for individuals with larger feet. Outside of her studies, she enjoys walks and music.

Abhiramy Sathyanarayana, a first-gen South Asian, is pursuing a Higher Education & Student Affairs graduate degree at NYU. As Assistant Director for Visitor Experience & Student Engagement, she's dedicated to social justice and inclusive communities. She also enjoys dancing, cooking, photography, and exploring the world.

Katherine Torres, a first-gen Nicaraguan-American student, studies Peace and Justice with a concentration in Race and Migration. Aspiring civil rights lawyer, she serves the Latino community, providing legal aid through Agencia ALPHA. Apart from community service, Katherine enjoys dancing and singing!

Dontae Duncan, a first-gen Social Media Marketing student, works as a Student Services Assistant at Ventura's Admissions and Records. Besides studying and campus events, he enjoys exploring museums, traveling, and watching history documentaries in his free time.

Thalia is a Political Science and Economics Major with a Global Studies minor. She actively engages in her community, interning in local government and participating in club work for First Gen Family, Student Diversity Board, and Class Council while at school.

Stephanie Yandun is a first-generation student majoring in psychology and minoring in music. With interests in sustainability and fashion, she often volunteers at non-profit organizations with concentrations in sustainability and environmental advocacy.

Richard is a first-generation student from California and joined the MIT Biology PhD program in 2021. Besides being passionate about cancer immunology research, Richard loves to snowboard and play tennis in his free time.
