About this speaker
Richard is a 3rd year PhD Candidate in the Biology Department at MIT. He is currently researching T cell responses and ways to improve immunotherapy against lung cancer. Richard was born and raised in San Francisco, California and is proud to be a first-generation college student who graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from UC Davis in 2019. Outside of research, he can be found on the tennis courts either playing or coaching, or in the kitchen cooking his favorite foods.
