About this speaker

Adeola currently works as a mental health clinician at Equilibria Mental Health where she provides individual therapy to children and adolescents. She also works with Class Action as part of the First Gen Leadership Development Initiative (FGLDI) as a trainer and consultant. Adeola was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and is Nigerian-American. She is a proud first gen graduate. She received her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston University in May 2023 and Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in History and Pre-Professional Health from SUNY Brockport in 2021. Adeola has research experience in the needs of and resources for first-generation college students, metacognition and the mental health stigma present in African and African American communities.
